Scholarships for the Center for Advanced Research and Technology (CART) were given to Rebekah Wells, a graduating senior at Roosevelt High School, and Gudelia Orozco, a junior at Clovis East High School. Mr. Gordon M. Park presented the awards on behalf of McCormick Barstow LLP.

McCormick Barstow, LLP awarded seven students with scholarships at McLane High School’s Academic Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, May 25th.

The United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit reversed a district court judge’s denial of a motion for summary judgment filed by Michael G. Woods of McCormick Barstow LLP on behalf of a Special Agent Supervisor for the California Bureau of Narcotics Enforcement in a civil rights matter and ordered dismissal entered in his favor.

McCormick Barstow LLP partner Marshall Whitney recently concluded a case in which Save Mart Supermarkets contended that Orchard Supply Hardware wrongfully terminated a Build to Suit lease that resulted in the loss of millions in revenue to Save Mart.

The Clovis North High School Mock Trial team has won numerous awards in various areas of competition. In their third year of competition, the Clovis North Mock Trial Team won the Fresno County Mock Trial competition in February for the second year in a row and finished third at the California State Mock Trail championships in Riverside in March.
