Experience

Ms. Bilz is a partner in the firm’s Insurance Coverage and Bad Faith Litigation practice group.  She is an experienced attorney whose practice focuses on representing clients in coverage matters prior to and during litigation.  


In her non-litigation practice, Ms. Bilz advises clients on the local, national and international level regarding insurance coverage and contractual indemnity disputes relating to various types of claims, including invasion of privacy claims, intellectual property disputes, construction claims, product defect claims, business torts, as well as bodily injury, property damage and pollution liability claims.


In litigation, Ms. Bilz represents clients in contractual and extra-contractual disputes in federal and state courts throughout the United States arising under all forms of insurance policies (e.g., general liability, excess and umbrella, directors and officers, errors and omissions, life and disability and, among others, pollution) and contractual indemnity agreements. 


Prior to joining McCormick Barstow, Ms. Bilz practiced at a mid-size insurance defense firm in Cincinnati, Ohio. She has also worked with the Office of the Public Defender in Hamilton County, Ohio handling felony cases.

Ms. Bilz is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Cincinnati Bar Association.  She is admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey, the State of Ohio, the Commonwealth of Kentucky, the District of New Jersey, the Southern District of Ohio, the Northern District of Ohio, and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.
