Mr. Callahan joined the Modesto office of McCormick Barstow in 2015.  He represents private companies and public entities as lead trial counsel in litigation matters.  Mr. Callahan has extensive experience defending clients in cases involving premises liability, product liability, civil rights, unlawful seizures and contract disputes.  He also advises clients regarding risk management, contract negotiation and drafting, as well as employment issues.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Callahan was a Partner at Borton Petrini, LLP.  Before practicing in the Central Valley, Mr. Callahan was a member of the litigation team of a New York law firm which served as counsel to Fortune 500 and international corporations in mass tort and toxic tort matters.

Mr. Callahan is a member of the State Bar of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York.  He is admitted to practice law before all California state courts; the United States District Courts for Connecticut, New Jersey, the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the Eastern District of California; the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit; and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Callahan is also a member of the Stanislaus County Bar Association and Wray Ladine American Inn of Court.

Community Involvement

Mr. Callahan previously served on the Board of the American Red Cross and currently serves on the Board of the Valley Builders Exchange.
