Mr. Dunn is a fourth generation attorney originally from Illinois.  In 1993 Mr. Dunn joined McCormick Barstow’s Fresno office and since 1996 he has been based at the firm’s Modesto office.  Mr. Dunn has tried over 20 jury trials in California’s Central Valley.  He has been sole trial counsel for matters that have gone to jury trial verdict in the counties of Merced, Stanislaus, Calaveras and San Joaquin.  He also handles court trials and routinely handles a wide variety of civil litigation.  Mr. Dunn has served as a mediator through the Merced County and Stanislaus County Superior Court mediation and/or arbitration programs and also has served as privately retained arbitrator and mediator.  

Mr. Dunn is admitted to practice law in California and Illinois.


Concentrating in Business Litigation, Contracts, Eminent Domain, Partnership Law, Trust Litigation, Real Estate, and Torts.

Professional Associations

Mr. Dunn is a member of the State Bar of California and the Stanislaus County Bar Association.  He is also a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).  Mr. Dunn is a former associate member of the Wray Ladine American Inn of Court.

Community Involvement

Mr. Dunn is presently a member of the Central Catholic High School Board.  He is also a member of the Notre Dame Club of Central California.  Mr. Dunn is a founding and past board member of the non-profit St. Luke’s Family Practice, and has also served as a board member of the United Samaritans Foundation.  Mr. Dunn has previously served as a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church’s Finance Council and on the Board of Directors of Our Lady of Fatima Men’s Club.
