Experience

Hilton A. Ryder has been a partner with McCormick Barstow since April 1, 1990. Prior to that time, he was a partner in the law firms of Ryder & Walter and McGugin & Ryder, both of which specialized in bankruptcy law. In the past, he has served as a Chapter 7 trustee for the Eastern District of California and is now concentrating on insolvency workouts and debtor representation in Chapters 7, 11 and 12 reorganizations.

Mr. Ryder is AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review Rated with Martindale-Hubbell. Mr. Ryder was selected for inclusion in the Northern California Super Lawyers list (2008, 2010-2016) for his primary area of practice in Bankruptcy & Creditor/Debtor Rights.

Publications & Lectures

Mr. Ryder was a panel member at the Central California Bankruptcy Institute (2001, 2002, and 2009) and at the Eastern District Judicial Conference (2007-2008). Mr. Ryder was a guest lecturer at the California Society of CPA's Agricultural Outlook Conference (1992). He is a frequent panel member and speaker at Central California Bankruptcy Association events.
