This month, we are talking to Justin Donner – one of the Fresno office’s finest associates! Read below to learn a little more about this UC Hastings grad:

What is your practice area emphasis?  Employment Law and Business Litigation.

What advice would you give to a law student?  Take a variety of classes while in law school.  Experiencing different subjects could result in you getting excited about an area of law you would not have otherwise considered.  Also, explore different legal markets.  You may discover a new city that offers an environment optimal for your success.  For me, Fresno was ideal because it offered a market where my career could advance at a faster pace, and the cost of living is better than other large California cities. 

What is your favorite thing about McCormick Barstow?  My favorite thing about McCormick Barstow is being able to work at a firm I admired while growing up in Fresno.  I truly enjoy working for a name that has so much Central Valley history.   

If you weren’t a lawyer, what would you be?  A Restaurateur. 

Where have you always wanted to visit, and why?  The Amazon. I love rain forests and wildlife.  

Who or what has been your biggest influence in life?  I think baseball has influenced me the most.  I owe my competitive nature and ability to thrive under pressure to the sport.
