What made you want to be a lawyer? I majored in politics in college and was interestedin law as a basis for society, particularly that parties could resolve their differences through the legal system. I also was always interested in persuasion, both through speaking and writing, and combining that with helping people and companies protect their rights.
If you weren’t a lawyer, what would you be? Restauranteur. I’m into food – both cooking and eating – and am really interested in the movement to more locally-sourced ingredients.
What is your favorite thing about McCormick Barstow? Interesting and complex work and the ability to work with smart, good people.
What is the best thing about working in Cincinnati? Cincinnati is a great mid-sized city: plenty to do, great food scene, reasonable cost of living, set in an older downtown with interesting historical buildings.
Where is the most exotic location you have travelled to? I’ve spent a good amount of time in the lower Yucatan region of Mexico, but a highlight for me this past year was spending a few days in Mexico City and then exploring Teotihuacan, an ancient Mesoamerican city.
