McCormick Barstow Welcomes Hagop Bedoyan
Certified Bankruptcy Specialist Hagop Bedoyan Joins McCormick Barstow LLP as a Partner in their Fresno, CA Office
On November 1, 2019 Hagop Bedoyan, one of Fresno’s most well-known Corporate Bankruptcy Attorneys joined the largest law firm in Fresno, McCormick Barstow Sheppard Wayte & Carruth LLP, as a Partner. Mr. Bedoyan, a Fresno native and Roosevelt graduate, has been practicing bankruptcy law for over 30 years, since graduating from UCLA and McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento. Most recently he was a partner at Klein DeNatale Goldner for over 10 years.
This partnership is a tremendous benefit for both parties, as McCormick Barstow has an ongoing desire to continue to build its bankruptcy law division and strengthen its position as the premier full-service business law firm in the Central Valley. This also gives Mr. Bedoyan the opportunity to build a regional bankruptcy practice throughout California and beyond, which he has wanted to do for many years.
“With seven offices in four states and the support structure to match, McCormick will provide me with exciting opportunities,” Bedoyan explains, “I am also genuinely excited to be working with one of my biggest mentors in my career, Mr. Hilton Ryder (a partner at McCormick Barstow).”
Mike Ball, Managing Partner at McCormick Barstow, was one of the driving forces to bring Bedoyan on board with the firm. Ball says, “McCormick Barstow, now with over 100 attorneys, continues to provide our clients with a broad range of high-quality legal services, and bringing on yet another esteemed specialist like Hagop Bedoyan strengthens our entire team.”
Ball also stated that he sees Bedoyan as not only being an asset in their bankruptcy law division, but as being a mentor to the young attorneys coming on board as well. “The strength of our firm will not only depend on the talent we have now, but how carefully we mentor our next generation of attorneys.” Ball explains.
Bedoyan is excited to start this new chapter of his life as he moves into his new office today. He sees this as his last professional move and is pleased to continue to plant his roots in Fresno. Bedoyan, in explaining his passion for bankruptcy law, says, “It’s very rewarding to practice law in the bankruptcy sector, as the law is a tool that I get to use to help fix people’s lives!”
